Remote Video Response (RVR)
This is when your CCTV system is connected to an accredited BS5979 Cat 2 Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) . When your CCTV cameras are remotely monitored, you can rest assured your site is secure when you’re away. If any suspicious activity is detected, the control room will receive an alarm along with video footage. They’ll review the footage, and quickly login to your cameras to verify the activity. If a crime is being committed they will secure the evidence, alert the police and your keyholders.
Challenge Audio
The control room can also audio challenge individuals on site , which increase the deterrent. This can be a two-way audio system that can allow individuals to identify themselves.
How Does Remote CCTV Monitoring Work?
Motion detectors placed in key areas or CCTV cameras with advanced human body detection alert the control room when presence is detected. The system can be armed and disarmed automatically with your intruder alarm or by a dedicated app or pin code. Only when an alarm is received will the control room see video footage and be able to access your CCTV system and control your cameras. You and your staff will not be under constant surveillance.
Benefits of Remote Monitoring
The system is armed & disarmed the same as an intruder alarm – this means that the control centre cannot monitor the cameras until this is activated by you
